FAQ

Do your hats have sizing?

Our hats are one size fits most (including kids). Heads that are awesomely large (over 24 inches in circumferences) are best suited for hats in our medium weight collection.

Where did the hat that I love go?

We have limited supply of each hat, so if there is a hat you are particularly interested in, don't wait long to buy it! Some hats are one of a kind and will not be created again.

How do you make your hats?

Each hat is made, designed and assembled with Canadian made pompoms and tags. As each hat is machine knit with hand finishing work, no two items are exact. There can also be variations in the yarn or pompom itself leading to slight differences between similar hats.

How are the pompoms attached to the hat?

Each pompom is attached with a snap or with a faux suede string.

I love the hat but don't want the pompom! What can you do for me?

We would be happy to remove the pompom and exclusively ship the hat.

How do I take care of my hat and pompom?

Please be gentle with the knitwear as yarn can pull and snag. If this has happened see the next FAQ.

To wash, remove pompom and machine wash on a gentle cycle or hand wash. Lay flat to dry. Once dry, reattach pompom. Spot wash pompoms only. Do not submerge pompom.

Help! My yarn has snagged and pulled and doesn't look pretty any more! What do I do?

Fear not. To fix knitwear that has snagged, gently ease the yarn back in by pulling the knitwear side to side and by gently pulling at the tight surrounding stitches. The yarn that is pulled is connected to other yarn in the same row (left to right row), so loosen and pull the surrounding row to ease the yarn back in to the row that it came from. This video provides great instruction. If the knitting looks uniform after stretching and easing the surrounding stitches but you still have remaining yarn, you can pull the remaining tail through to the inside of the hat to hide the end.

My hat is not wind proof. Is that normal?

Yes, knit wear is not wind proof but is warm in cold weather.
